| This Photograph (in my personal opinion) is of one of the better kept secrets in Newfoundland. Salvage is an old, well established fishing community on the north shore of the Isaland of Newfoundland. The people here take pride in their possessions and their community and Salvage has been recognized for how pristine and authentic their community is. All of the wharves and fishing roomsare extremely well kept and are paintedin their traditional colors. What you see in Salvage now, in the 21st century is not much different than it would have been in the early days of great Newfoundland fishing outports. |
