| This image was created on Topsail Beach just outside of St. John's. It is popular spot with the locals who use the beach to fish, swim and have a bonfire on those cool summer nights. The Island to the left is one of the three Islands close to the mainland in Conception Bay - They are Kelly's Island, Little Bell Island, and Bell Island. Kelly's and Little Bell Island are not inhabited but Bell Island maintains a strong community whose past was built around the copper mine. Now decommissioned the mine still runs tours throughout the tourist season. |
